There is nothing like walking down the grassy path of a row of red raspberries that are ripe, and ready to eat.  After looking for these treasures you can’t wait to get them home so you can eat the bounty savoring each jewel as you pop them into your mouth.  This is another berry that is quickly heading to the forefront of health news.  Picked fresh, or frozen, these yield lots of flavor in each berry and lots of nutrition as well. Our raspberry season usually begins the second or third week in July and lasts into august.  At Kiteleys, we have red, black and purple raspberries, each having a distinctly different flavor.  These are also wonderful blended together in pies or jam yielding a rich and bold raspberry flavor.
